PROVENCE COLLECTION of DVDs

Provence is that sunny, southern area of France, between Spain and Italy, bordering the Mediterranean Sea.
It is different from the rest of France. Its history is unique, its society bizarre; its people warm and friendly. We filmed the real Provence through the eyes of the Provençal people themselves.

This was a popular television series in France, now produced on six one-hour DVDs, with original Provençal music. 

Producer Edmond Nyst was born in Marseille and during World War II served for two years in the maquis Foch in the centre of France under the German Occupation. He now lives in Australia where his recent book, "An Old Fellow's War" was published.

Director Doreen Nyst is an ex-archivist and librarian. She spent many years in Provence researching the remarkable history of this spectacular part of France.
